Adventuring Montreal

Coleman's basketball allows my family and I to adventure to a lot of places and this weekend we have been touring Montreal This is my very first time being to another province which is crazy!! I love the culture in Montreal it is very fashionable and ethnic. Last night we visited McGill University and walked around Old Montreal. I love visiting university cities because it has me start thinking about the future and where I will one day want to go. Also while being in Montreal it is strengthening my desire to learn a second language. French might not be the language I would want to learn I would prefer to learn either Spanish or German. There just seems to be something so cool about knowing a second language.

  • What Uni do you one day want to go to?
  • If you could learn a second language what would it be?

What I love about visiting new places is exploring and finding cute little restaurants. Last night we went to dinner at this fine dining restaurant called Scarlet. The restaurant had a lot of character and reminded me a lot of the feel you got from the book gone with the wind. Everyone in the restaurant was so nice and made us feel so welcomed. Because no one likes hotel breakfasts we went and found this little diner which seemed like a very popular local spot and had delicious food! Breakfast is by far my favourite meal of the day and I love finding small diners. Basketball gyms always seem to be in the strangest areas that you would never expect a basketball tournament to be. This time the gym was in a bit of an older downtown area that had a very European feel to it. Before going into the gym my mom and I stumbled across this organic vegan cafe. I got a hot coco there that was so good it left me feeling like maybe I should turn vegan. The cafe was very hipster and was a lovely welcoming place to go on a beautiful Saturday morning. Exploring new places is so fun but sitting in a smelly gym cheering on my brother playing a sport he is so talented at would still be my favourite thing to do.

Whatever you do during the rest of the weekend I hope you do it in love and be grateful for the little moments and simple things :)

I'll see ya,
A.S. <3333
