The Plan, The Goal, The Feelings
So I leave for Kenya tomorrow... The trip I have waited 2 years for is finally happening.
I have 3 things going through my head right now the plan, the goal and the feeling.
The Plan
So being away for a month is a long time and means that I have to keep track of important things. So a plan had to be made for me being away for my quiet time with God, and workout schedule.
Over the month I plan to wake up early and do my devos my goal is to read through Isaiah. What I love about the book of Isaiah is all the imagery. While doing my quiet time I also hope to journal and keep records of all the blessings and little God moments. What is going to be tough is keeping up with my physical training but my dad helped me come up with a good plan to keep on top of it and to stay in great shape.
The Goal
Kenya is my getaway. The goal of summer sixteen is heart healing. This year has been an insanely hard year for me. Even though it has felt like a rollarcoaster through it I have been able to grow closer with God and have been able to see that he is with me through everything. This year has been a blur and I pray that Kenya brings clarity and perspective. The goal is to come back from Kenya refreshed and healed.
The Feeling
I am feeling so many things right now... like I don't think it has really hit me that I am flying to Kenya tomorrow. I feel anxious but also very excited! Probably will not be getting much sleep tonight because my brain will be wired. I am excited but also a bit emotional because I get sentimental with good byes so today when I had to say good bye to my brother, friends and grandparents it really hit me even tho the time will fly by and I will see them soon. Another feeling I am having is realizing that the travel day tomorrow will be tough and that I do not do well with change and tomorrow to just embrace the anxiety and enjoy the process.
My parents motto whenever we go somewhere is to expect the unexpected and to just roll with the punches. That is my goal for the 12 hour flight tmw im going to be like a duck with a water on it;s back any problem is just going to role off.
Well the next time I blog I will be in Kenya!!!!!
Ill see ya,
