Quality Time
Our first full day in Kenya was amazing!!! I started off the day with a leg workout (dad if you are reading this I am going to stay dedicated to the workout and I miss your craziness) after the workout I did my quiet time in the beautiful garden. It is going to be great starting everyday off in God's word, also during my quiet time I am recording ten blessings for each day to stay positive and to start each day on the right foot.
Morning activity:
We started the day off by going to Sheldrick's wildlife orphanage to watch the baby elephants get bottle fed I think it might of been one of the cutest things ever. We have so far seen so many animals I cannot wait for the safari we will be going on at the end of the month.
Afternoon Activity:
We had a very yummy lunch and then we headed off to my teachers sisters house who lives in Kenya. We then had a relaxing late afternoon there and enjoyed a nice dinner. The evening was super amazing it was so nice to just go over to someones house and enjoy everyone's company. I feel like that is a lost event, it seems in Canada that rarely ever you would invite your neighbor's over to hangout. I really wish it happened more because I enjoyed getting to know some people who had some really cool stories. For people who all just recently met we all clicked so well and talked and laughed like we have known each other for ages. Moments like this make me so happy. When I'm older I hope to have a home where everyone feels welcomed to come over and just stop by for a little while.
My goal for my fellow readers: After finishing my blog of course get off your phone and make time for someone you love. Our lives seem so busy just take sometime to breath and have a heartfelt convo with someone. It feels so good to just sit and talk with someone without the distractions of technology and to just enjoy the present of one another. I bring this to you as a challenge and I promise you will not be disappointed!
Anyways off to bed to rest up for a another full day tomorrow... I have still not recovered from jetlag lol... Last night I woke up at 3am and did not get back to bed till 5am
I'll see ya,
